Global Communications & Engagement Executive

Every message that reaches our executive team, our board and 200+ colleagues needs to be right, on time and on brand, and this role makes that happen. You take the communications admin off our executives' plates, from board and people decks to the all-hands and the channels that connect leaders to the business. This is a role with ELT-level exposure from week one, built for someone who gets up and running fast.

your impact

Clearer.io is a global team of more than 200 people in 8+ countries, working asynchronously, and clear communication is how most work gets done. You support the Global People Director in turning what leaders want to say into decks, updates and all-hands that colleagues read and act on. You work close to our executive team's priorities, learn how a global company communicates, and build a portfolio of work that senior leaders actually use.

how you'll grow

• First 30 days: learn our decks, calendar and tools, shadow the all-hands and support board and people deck preparation.

• By 60 days: own all-hands logistics and deck formatting end to end, and draft updates for sign-off.

• By 90 days: own the full scope of the role day to day, including the communications calendar for People and ELT-facing channels, with board and ELT material signed off by the Global People Director.

• Throughout: regular mentoring and check-ins with the Global People Director, direct exposure to ELT-level work, and feedback that builds a portfolio you can take anywhere.

what you'll do

Prepare board and people decks: draft, format and keep numbers and messages consistent, so executives review instead of build

• Own the all-hands: collect content from leaders, build the slides, run the schedule, and follow up with notes and a recording for colleagues in other time zones

• Own the communications calendar for the People Team and ELT-facing channels: what goes out, when and where, across Slack, email and all-hands, and keep communication norms so key people and operational signals aren’t lost in Slack noise

• Draft internal announcements and updates for the Global People Director and ELT to review and sign off

• Take communications admin off the executive team: formatting, scheduling, follow-ups and tracking actions, so their time goes to higher-value work

• Own our engagement and recognition moments, from Bonusly and Clearer Together to wellbeing campaigns, and support the company on people events globally

• Support the engagement survey and the weekly listening roundup, turning results into clear, short updates for leaders

• Use AI in everything you produce, from first drafts to formatting and summaries, and share what works with the team

• Handle board and ELT material with discretion, keeping confidential information confidential

• Support the Global HR Director, Global Head of Systems and Operations bring the people innovations to life such as our performance cycle, behaviour matrix, ensuring we take our people with us within Clearer.io

• Other related duties as reasonably assigned, in line with the scope and level of this role

• Board and people decks ready on time, accurate and needing minimal rework

• All-hands run to plan, with content collected on time and follow-up shared within a day

• Communications calendar up to date, with the right message in the right channel

• Engagement survey supported on time, with results turned into clear updates for leaders

• Executives spending less time on communications admin, confirmed through their feedback

• Engagement and wellbeing activity that contributes to our overall eNPS

• Your own growth against the 30-day, 60-day and 90-day goals above

You own this area day to day. You go to the Global People Director for anything sensitive or ELT-facing before it goes out.

what you'll bring

• 1–2 years of experience in communications, marketing, events or a related field

• Excellent written and spoken English. You will draft and format material for senior leaders and a board audience

• Strong slide and document skills (Google Slides and Docs or similar), and you pick up new tools quickly

• AI fluency: you use AI tools daily to draft, summarise and format, check the output for accuracy, and know what confidential material should never go into an AI tool

• Strong attention to detail: numbers, names and formatting are right every time

• Discretion with confidential information. Board and ELT materials are sensitive

• A proactive, organised and collaborative mindset, comfortable working async with a global team

• Flexibility to adjust working hours when needed to overlap with colleagues in the UK, Europe and, occasionally, the US

Nice to have (but genuinely optional):

• Experience supporting events, all-hands or internal communications

• Design skills (for example Canva or Figma) for clear, on-brand slides

• Experience with Slack and Loom, and with async communication

• Interest in a career in communications, employer brand or the People function
