About this role

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Funnel & Performance Marketing Specialist

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $2,300 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a fast-growing service business focused on developing and scaling consumer product brands through a combination of product innovation, digital marketing and data-driven decision-making. With a strong emphasis on online growth and commercial performance, the business is committed to building compelling customer experiences and turning marketing opportunities into sustainable revenue.

The team operates in a dynamic, performance-focused environment where creativity, analytical thinking and hands-on execution go hand in hand. They’re looking to strengthen their education services with talented people who can take ownership, move quickly and make a measurable impact on the business.

Role Overview: We're looking for a highly capable, hands-on Funnel & Performance Marketing Specialist who can independently build, launch and optimise the systems that turn advertising traffic into qualified leads, booked calls and closed sales.

This is not a generalist marketing role. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes funnels, understands performance marketing at a practical level and can take an idea from concept to a fully functioning, live implementation without relying on developers, agencies or other marketers to do the work.

Your primary focus will be the complete acquisition journey, particularly the call funnel. You'll build landing pages, booking flows, automations, CRM workflows and pre-call nurture sequences, while managing Meta Ads and implementing the tracking needed to understand which campaigns, funnel variations and follow-up activities actually generate revenue.

You'll be responsible for identifying bottlenecks, forming hypotheses, implementing improvements and testing variations quickly. Rather than simply generating leads, you'll focus on improving lead quality, booking rates, show rates and sales conversion.

You'll also work closely with a dedicated reporting and finance team member to ensure marketing data is accurate, attribution is as complete as technically possible, and decisions are based on meaningful commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Funnel Building & Conversion Rate Optimisation

This is the core of the role. You'll be expected to personally build, launch and improve complete marketing funnels, not simply plan them or manage someone else doing the implementation.

You should be comfortable independently taking a funnel from concept to launch without needing a developer or another marketer to build it for you.

2. Meta Ads Management & Performance Marketing

Meta Ads will be a core competency and a major part of your day-to-day responsibilities. Google Ads and other paid channels are secondary.

Experience with Google Ads and other relevant advertising platforms is beneficial, but the ability to manage Meta Ads hands-on is essential.

3. End-to-End Tracking, Attribution & Revenue Connection

A major priority is understanding how marketing activity translates into sales. You'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining the tracking infrastructure that makes this possible, working closely with the reporting and finance function.

The goal is not simply to report on clicks, leads or cost per lead. It's to understand as much of the journey as possible between the initial ad interaction and the final sale.

Important: You won't own the broader finance or company-wide reporting function. Your responsibility is to ensure the marketing systems, tracking and attribution data are reliable and useful for decision-making.

4. Call Funnel, Booking & Show-Rate Optimisation

Your immediate priority will be improving the complete call funnel, from initial lead generation through to booked appointments, attended calls and closed sales.

This requires a deeper understanding of lead nurturing than simply setting up appointment reminders. You'll need to know how to build a sequence that helps prospects understand the offer, overcome objections, build confidence and arrive at a sales conversation better informed and more prepared.

5. GoHighLevel (GHL) Implementation & Automation

Strong, hands-on GoHighLevel experience is a core requirement. You should be comfortable building and managing the systems yourself, rather than relying on another team member for technical implementation.

You should have demonstrable experience using GoHighLevel to build functioning marketing systems, not just basic familiarity with the platform.

6. AI-Assisted Marketing, Development & Rapid Experimentation

We value marketers who use AI to increase their speed of execution and make experimentation more efficient. You'll be encouraged to use AI tools to move from ideas to working implementations quickly.

Experience with Claude and Lovable is a strong advantage. More importantly, you should be able to demonstrate that you use AI practically to build, test and implement, rather than relying on it solely for ideas or basic copywriting.

7. Testing, Optimisation & Continuous Improvement

The emphasis is on implementing improvements and validating their impact, rather than producing recommendations that someone else must execute.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success will be measured by the quality and effectiveness of the acquisition systems you build and improve.

The Ideal Candidate

You're a hands-on performance marketer and funnel builder who enjoys getting into the detail and making things work.

You don't just understand how funnels should operate. You can build them, connect the systems behind them, launch campaigns, troubleshoot tracking and test improvements yourself. You're equally comfortable writing sales copy, configuring a GoHighLevel workflow, reviewing Meta Ads performance and investigating why leads are failing to book or attend calls.

You think beyond lead generation. You want to know which leads become customers, what influenced their decisions and where the biggest opportunities for improvement exist. You understand that an inexpensive lead is not necessarily a valuable lead, and that the real measure of marketing effectiveness is its contribution to commercial outcomes.

You're also curious about technology and actively look for ways to use AI to work faster. You can move from an idea to a practical implementation, test it in the real world and refine it based on evidence.

Above all, you're an owner-operator: proactive, commercially minded, technically capable and comfortable being accountable for the systems you personally build and optimise.

This role is not suited to someone who primarily manages agencies, delegates technical work or provides strategic recommendations without implementing them.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
