Óscala is a Dutch/Spanish supplier of nearshore software engineering services. The company is HQ based in Haarlem (NL) and has a Software Development Center in the city center of Valencia. Óscala works for a growing list of reputable clients in The Netherlands and surrounding countries. We offer our clients additional (remote) capacity so they can continue to build their state-of the-art software solutions, web applications, mobile apps and alike. Each Óscala Software Developer works exclusively for one client and is an integral part of their Software Development team - working closely and on a daily basis together with Tech Leads, Architects and other colleagues of the IT team in The Netherlands (or Germany or Belgium).

For one of our clients we are currently looking for a: Full Stack - Senior Developer(Remote)

About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer, you'll be responsible for improving and maintaining our Reseller platform. You'll be involved in the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment to maintenance, making sure we build a robust and scalable solution. You'll work closely with the Product and Customer Success teams to build features that provide direct value to our partners, while ensuring they are scalable and meet our quality standards. You will be the driving force behind backend tasks in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write and test code following the standards defined in the squad.
• Design robust and scalable APIs to support any kind of client(Desktop, Mobile, etc).
• Manage and optimise distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Identify repeatable tasks and write scripts to automate them.
• Write and maintain automated and regression testing scripts to ensure we deploy bugfree code.
• Write documentation both internal and external (customer-facing, release notes, etc).
• Support other business areas where backend knowledge is required.

• Support and mentor Junior developers.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• ~10+ years of experience working as a Full Stack Backend Developer.

• Full remote work

• Strong computer science foundations, mostly working in distributed systems.
• Extensive experience writing scalable APIs using REST architecture.
• Experience writing code in the Golang programming language.
• Experience in a modern JavaScript web framework, e.g. Svelte, or React.
• Experience working in an AWS cloud environment.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiar with API and WebApp security standards and authentication methods (API key, JWT, OAuth 2.0, etc).
