About the Role
A seed-stage AI and supply chain technology company is looking for a Freight Broker to build and manage shipper accounts while driving revenue growth. You will own the full customer lifecycle, from prospecting through delivery coordination, and serve as the trusted point of contact for your clients. This role is central to scaling a shipper-focused brokerage business.
What You'll Do
Prospect and win new shipper accounts through targeted outreach and relationship building.
Understand each customer's freight lanes, volumes, service requirements, and pricing expectations.
Quote freight competitively, negotiate rates, and secure shipments.
Coordinate with carrier operations to arrange capacity and ensure reliable service delivery.
Maintain regular communication with customers and resolve issues promptly.
Identify and pursue additional freight opportunities within existing accounts to drive growth.
What We're Looking For
3 or more years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or carrier sales.
Demonstrated track record of closing freight or logistics sales deals with shippers or carriers.
Experience quoting freight rates and negotiating pricing with customers and carriers.
Experience prospecting and acquiring new customer accounts in a sales role.
Experience managing customer relationships through the full transaction lifecycle, including booking, coordination, and delivery.
Experience coordinating with operations teams to arrange capacity and manage service delivery.
Experience identifying and upselling additional services or freight opportunities to existing customers.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing your own pipeline.
Familiarity with freight brokerage software or transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus.
Knowledge of freight lanes, carrier networks, or logistics market dynamics is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $65,000 to $300,000 USD annually, with a 70% commission split structure.
401(k) and health insurance included.
