(Founding) Solutions Engineer
About this role
At Duna, we see the company as the second product we're building and are continually working to create a transparent, ambitious culture. We want this to be the place where you do your best work.
Our mission is to redefine identity for the global economy. We're backed by world-class investors including CapitalG and Index Ventures, as well as founders and executives from companies like Stripe, Adyen, Notion, Remote, Qonto, Framer, Anthropic, Mollie, OpenAI, and Goldman Sachs.
Since your role with us will rarely fit a job description, we only wrote a crisp overview.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
Be the technical partner to our Account Executives, from the first call to go-live
Run integration workshops with customer engineering teams, before and after they sign
Scope what a customer needs to get live, and find the simplest path to get there
Demo Duna live and answer the hard questions on our API, webhooks and data model
Be the first line between customers and our engineers, so our engineers can stay focused on the platform
Bring what you hear from customers back to product and engineering, and help us improve our docs
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You've done this before, as a solutions engineer, solutions architect, integration engineer or in a similar customer-facing technical role
You've written plenty of integrations yourself. You're pragmatic, API first, and know webhooks, auth and system mapping well
You can hold a room of senior engineers: you set the agenda, keep people engaged and earn their trust
You care as much about how the platform works as about whether the customer succeeds
You're comfortable switching between several customers and workstreams in the same day
You're happy to travel regularly to meet customers
Fluent English. Other languages are a plus
Bonus: experience in payments, identity verification, fraud, or other integration-heavy products like CRMs
Our current stack includes Node.js + TypeScript, React, Event Sourcing, Express, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, and AWS. You don't need to know all of it, but you should be comfortable reading code and building a working integration against an API.
A final note before you apply: please read through our website in detail. You'll find the fundamentals there: what we believe in, how we work, and why we're building this company.
We're a remote-first, fast-moving team of builders looking for exceptional people who love to create, build, and ship. Beyond passion and grit, we highly value curiosity, authenticity and kindness.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
PS. We are looking to hire passionate people from a variety of backgrounds. So even if you don't check all the boxes, we welcome your application!
