Employee Experience & Communications Intern (Part-Time | Fall-Winter 2026)

Purpose & Job Summary

ORIX USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join the Human Resources People Experience team and support initiatives that improve how employees access information, learn, and connect across the organization. As an Employee Experience & Communications Intern, you will play a key role in ORIX USA's enterprise intranet migration while supporting employee experience, content management, and communications initiatives across the company.

This role offers hands-on experience working with modern workplace technologies, content development, and cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate is organized, technology-curious, and enjoys creating clear, engaging, and well-structured content that helps employees find the information and resources they need.

Location & Schedule
This role may be performed fully remote or in a hybrid capacity from our Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX office locations. Candidates should be available to work 10-20 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks. There may be opportunities to extend the internship based on business needs and mutual interest.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Support ORIX USA's enterprise intranet migration from SharePoint to Interact.
• Inventory, audit, organize, and migrate historical content, documents, and resources.
• Partner with business teams to explain the migration process, gather content needs, and coordinate migration activities.
• Build, organize, and maintain intranet pages and templates
• Draft and edit basic page copy to support intranet content builds, leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Design simple graphics and visual elements for intranet pages using Canva and PowerPoint.
• Help ensure content is accurate, well-organized, and consistently formatted across the platform
• Create user guides, FAQs, and support materials to help employees navigate the new intranet.
• Monitor migration progress and assist with project tracking, status updates, and stakeholder follow-up communications.
• Support ongoing improvements to the employee intranet experience by identifying opportunities to improve content organization and usability.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

• Support Learning & Development initiatives by converting existing training materials into digital learning resources.
• Help plan and support employee engagement activities, events, and Employee Network initiatives.
• Provide general project and administrative support as needed

Education, Skills & Experience

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience creating presentations, graphics, or other visual materials using tools such as PowerPoint or Canva.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and an interest in learning new technologies.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable learning new platforms and tools on the job.
