Overview

These are key roles providing technical leadership for the ongoing enhancement of the agencys critical operational systems and services. Working with the business and under the guidance of the enterprise architects, this role will be responsible for the creation of the solution architecture assisting the agency improve the integrity of the scheme through systemic capability uplift. The Solution Architect will ensure all solutions within their domain are both technically robust and provide the best fit for the business.

The Solution Architect role will focus across one or several of the following subject areas:

• Data Warehouse / Lake, Analytics
• Integration
• Debt, Financial & ERP
• Fraud & Integrity process uplift

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver high quality solution architectures that are fit for business purpose
• Align solutions with Agency goals and objectives
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture reference models, principles, policies, standards and the strategic ICT roadmap
• Engage with the business to understand the tactical & strategic objectives and requirements
• Provide technical oversight and facilitate complex issues resolution arising during project delivery
• Ownership and accountability for the delivery of coherent technical solutions across the domain
• Represent the solution(s) being developed through all relevant governance processes.

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience with large scale projects, and/or cloud environments with extensive customer base related to one of the subject areas above.

2. Excellent listening, communication, and stakeholder management skills

3. Broad technical & architectural background delivering solution architectures for projects

4. Experience balancing project and program, project, and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers.

5. Must be able to translate business capability into technical requirements.

6. Act as the business conduit into the ICT function.

Desirable Criteria

1. Experience / Qualification: 10 years of Solution Architecture experience Industry experience across financial, health or insurance sectors. Bachelor of Science/Business in Information Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification

2. Proven record of leading the architecture of enterprise class solutions and developing solutions aligned to the assigned subject areas.

3. Experience working in both Agile and Structured delivery environments.

4. TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification and Azure or AWS cloud architectural certifications
