Position: Bilingual Dutch (Netherlands) STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type:Contract
Compensation:$61–$65/hour
Location:Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write expert-level prompts in Netherlands Dutch across specialized scientific topics.
- Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
- Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
- Work independently and asynchronously to ensure model safety and performance.
- Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model handling of technical topics in Dutch.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field — ongoing or completed.
- Native or near-native fluency in Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands.
- Business-level written English.
- Currently based in the Netherlands.
- Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
- Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
- Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.
- Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield such as organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.
- Research or coursework on chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling.
- Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
