Job Role: Digital Marketing Specialist

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type:Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Based in North Geelong, the business operates across product development, wholesale and online retail, combining strong market knowledge with a focus on customer service and reliable after-sales support. As the portfolio continues to expand, the team remains focused on bringing well-designed, high-quality products to market that are built to perform and provide lasting value.

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Specialist to take ownership of the day-to-day execution and optimization of our digital marketing activity.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both strategy and execution — someone who can develop campaigns, create and coordinate content, manage digital channels, analyse performance and continuously look for ways to improve results.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Australian team and should be confident working independently, managing priorities and communicating clearly in English.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across relevant channels
• Manage and optimize Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns where required
• Develop and mange social media content and publishing
• Coordinate content creation, including written, visual and short-form video content
• Manage website content and updates, including basic SEO
• Conduct keyword, competitor and market research
• Implement SEO strategies to improve organic visibility and traffic
• Build and manage email marketing campaigns and databases
• Track campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Analyze marketing data using tools such as Google Analytics and platform reporting
• Prepare regular performance reports and communicate key insights
• Manage marketing calendars, campaigns and deadlines
• Work with external designers, developers or other suppliers where required
• Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, platforms, tools and best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve lead generation, engagement and conversion

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

• 3+ years experience in digital marketing
• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and campaign execution
• Experience across multiple channels including SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, social media and email marketing
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Experience using Google Analytics and digital advertising platforms
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working directly with an Australian business/team

Desirable:

• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
• Experience with Canva, Figma or Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar platforms
• Experience working with Australian, UK or US businesses
• Understanding of conversion rate optimisation and lead-generation funnels
• Experience using AI tools to improve marketing workflows and content production

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can actually execute, rather than someone who only provides high-level marketing recommendations.

The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of marketing tasks from start to finish. They should be able to look at campaign performance, understand what is and isn't working, and make practical recommendations to improve results.

They should also be comfortable using AI and modern marketing tools to increase efficiency without compromising quality.
