Demand Generation Lead
About this role
Demand Generation Lead
1 big thing: We're looking for a Demand Generation Lead to help us grow our Smart Brevity services business.
Why it matters:Smart Brevity is the professional services business inside Axios HQ, offering training, consulting, and AI tools to help organizations communicate with clarity. We've built the Smart Brevity business off organic, word-of-mouth growth, working with 30% of the Fortune 100.
Now, we need a savvy growth leader who can help us reach more organizations, to help them become world-class communicators. This is a chance to create a new function for this business.
Go deeper: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios HQ through the following responsibilities:
Plan and run lead generation campaigns end-to-end, focused on communications leaders, who make up our ideal customer profile.
Own paid strategy and spend across search, social and Axios.com house ads.
Expand the reach of our thought leadership, research and content so buyers who don't know us encounter us before they need us.
Build clean tracking and attribution so we can see which sources produce meetings, opportunities, and closed business.
Deliver recurring reporting the Services leadership team and CEO can act on.
Design small, measurable tests to size demand in adjacent markets and buyer profiles, and kill the ones that don't work.
Grow and maintain our engaged contacts database with quality people who match our ICP, segmented strategically for ongoing engagement.
Partner with sales and delivery on messaging and outreach strategy, establishing a clear process for input and execution.
The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios HQ's mission and values: raise the bar; stay curious; be inclusive, always; and champion each other. We want to talk to you if you have the following skills/experience:
7+ years in demand generation, growth, or performance marketing, ideally in B2B professional services with a focus on senior communications, HR, or executive buyers.
Hands-on ownership of paid search and paid social; you have built the campaigns yourself, not just briefed an agency.
Experience marketing professional services: training, certification, consulting or advisory.
Built or rebuilt lead routing and attribution in a marketing automation platform and CRM.
Comfort setting the plan, not waiting for one.
Track record against a pipeline number, not just an MQL number
Fluency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM.
Don't forget:
Health insurance (options include 100% paid for individuals, 75% for families)
Base Range: $130,000-$150,000, depending on experience, skills and geographic location
Fertility and family planning coverage
Primary caregiver 12-week paid parental leave
401K, plus company match
Tele-mental health services
Generous vacation policy, plus company holidays
Monthly work-from-home stipend
Company equity
A commitment to an open, inclusive, and diverse work culture
Annual learning and development stipend
