We're vendor-cleared at top-tier pharma sponsors and CROs, and France is one of our priority expansion markets: our hospital footprint there is growing through technology partnerships anchored in EU interoperability initiatives, and a leading hospital group is committed to launch with us in 2026 — giving you a national reference point from day one. You join as the first commercial hire in the market, with an enterprise team working the global accounts above you and a partnership layer building the local proof points beside you. The national market is yours to open.

The Country Lead owns Curewiki's commercial presence in the Spanish market end to end, from prospecting through contract signature, with a focus on the country affiliates of multinational pharmaceutical companies and national biotechnology companies.

As the first commercial hire in the market, the role combines new business development with early customer onboarding and market representation. As the market matures, dedicated Customer Success and Patient Engagement roles are added, allowing the Country Lead to concentrate fully on revenue generation.

Your responsibilities:

Market development & pipeline generation

• Define and execute the go-to-market plan for the Spanish market in alignment with the CCO
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of national opportunities across pharmaceutical affiliates, biotechnology companies, and CROs, activating your existing network from week one
• Identify and map key decision-makers, including clinical operations, medical affairs, patient engagement, and procurement stakeholders
• Represent Curewiki at national industry conferences and events, converting presence into qualified meetings

Deal management & closing

• Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through proposal, negotiation, and contract signature
• Develop commercial proposals aligned with client needs and Curewiki's pricing model
• Navigate multi-stakeholder decision processes involving clinical operations, procurement, legal, and IT
• Maintain rigorous CRM discipline in HubSpot: accurate stages, timely notes, realistic forecasting

Customer onboarding & early account development

• Guide initial customers through onboarding and their first project, in coordination with Customer Success
• Identify expansion opportunities within the national accounts portfolio

Cross-functional collaboration

• Coordinate with the enterprise sales team on global accounts with a national component
• Coordinate with the Head of Partnerships on hospital and patient organisation opportunities in the market
• Provide structured market intelligence to inform product, pricing, and positioning decisions

Requirements

• You've sold into the Spanish life-sciences market (pharma affiliates, biotech, or CROs) and closed full-cycle deals you generated yourself — and can walk us through the last two: who decided, what nearly killed them, how you won
• You arrive with a live, current professional network in the Spanish life-sciences market. This is a hard requirement — the clock on this role assumes it
• You've opened ground before: a new territory, a new segment, or a first-hire market role where nothing existed until you built it
• You operate autonomously in an early-stage environment: you set your own plan, run your own pipeline, and ask for coaching rather than instructions
• You run AI-first: research, account preparation, outreach personalisation, and follow-up are all leveraged with modern AI tooling
• Native-level Spanish and fluent professional English
• Disciplined pipeline management in HubSpot or equivalent

• Understanding of clinical research operations and the clinical trial landscape
• Familiarity with the regulatory and data-protection context of clinical research in Europe
• Affinity with patient-centric healthcare and clinical research accessibility
