About the job

We’re looking for a freelance content marketing specialist to support the content engines and strategic initiatives we set up for our clients.

You’ll be tasked with reviewing content briefs and drafts at a strategic level, ensuring content aligns with the channels they’re built for, analyzing content refresh projects, conducting deep domain research and SME interviews, and much more.

We’re big proponents of utilizing AI across the entire organic growth journey. You’ll be using the systems we’ve built over a period of years, and are encouraged to bring your own workflows and skills to the table.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating with strategists and editors: Develop an understanding of our client’s audience, product, and goals. Conducting research and topic ideation to fuel content strategies.

• Conducting deep industry research: Running audience research and trend analysis to get a macro overview of our client’s market. You’ll become a “pseudo-SME” in a variety of industries and products.

• Build and optimize content engineering and AI workflows: Work with AI workflows and platforms like Claude Code and AirOps. We take a consistent, iterative approach to process development and encourage you to contribute.

• Creating and reviewing drafts and briefs: Conduct a competitive analysis and develop unique angles. Create in-depth outlines to build narrative structures. Review and offer feedback on drafts.

• SME interviews and collaboration: Interview subject matter experts for various topics. Collaborate with influencers to fuel original content and distribution efforts.

• Content audits and analysis: Analyze the performance of client content portfolios. Make decisions and recommendations on content improvements.
