About the Role

The Content Editor will edit and review all video or podcast footage across social media, YouTube, or paid campaigns to create polished, high-quality video content that meets the needs of the project or brand image. This individual will be responsible for cutting and connecting various footage or long-form conversations into engaging, platform-ready content that resonates with diverse audiences. They will also add sound effects, graphics, or color correction and fine-tune the completed video or podcast. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a creative approach to storytelling.

Your Key Contributions

• Edit and assemble long‑form and podcast video content into polished videos for YouTube and other platforms using industry‑standard tools.
• Enhance footage with audio elements, music, voiceovers, captions, lower thirds, and on‑screen graphics to improve comprehension and retention.
• Apply color correction, color grading, lighting, and contrast adjustments to achieve a consistent, cinematic, and on‑brand visual style.
• Create high‑impact short‑form content, including clips, teasers, vertical videos (Reels/TikToks/Shorts), and paid‑ad optimized assets.
• Adapt edits for platform‑specific best practices, including pacing, hooks, subtitles, and formatting.
• Determine and execute strategies for repurposing long‑form episodes into multi‑channel derivative assets.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure messaging, branding, and storytelling align with the firm’s strategic goals.
• Monitor engagement metrics and performance insights to refine editing approaches and inform future content.
• Organize and maintain raw footage, audio, and media libraries to support efficient workflows and future revisions.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of proven work experience video editing or content creation, video production, podcasting, or digital storytelling
• Action Oriented: The Content Editor is action oriented by efficiently turning raw footage into polished, platform‑ready video content and meeting deadlines across multiple deliverables.
• Collaborates: The Content Editor collaborates closely with Brand, Creative, Social, and Production partners to ensure edits align with messaging, branding, and project timelines.
• Resourcefulness: The Content Editor demonstrates resourcefulness by using available footage, tools, and platform best practices to creatively repurpose long‑form content into high‑impact assets.
• Instills Trust: The Content Editor instills trust by consistently delivering reliable, on‑brand edits, incorporating feedback promptly, and communicating clearly about progress or risks.
• Familiarity with optimizing assets for Facebook/Instagram paid placements and YouTube pre-roll.
• Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• A portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement across social platforms.
• Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple projects

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST)

• Windows 11 (kept up to date)

For Mac Users:

• A modern processor (Apple M1 chip or a recent Intel Core i5)
• A recent macOS (Ventura or newer)

For Everyone:

• At least 8 GB of memory (RAM) to run applications smoothly
• A fast hard drive with sufficient available storage
