With over 40 years of industry experience, the company serves schools, municipalities, public parks, daycares, and general contractors across the region. Having recently transitioned from a traditional in-office model to a streamlined, lean operation, the owner is looking for high-accountability, self-driven talent to help scale business operations and support a growing pipeline of commercial projects.
💼 About the Role
We are seeking a high-performing Full-Time Commercial Sales & Bid Coordinator to take ownership of lead qualification, pipeline management, bid follow-up, and inbound responsiveness. In this role, you will act as the proactive engine of the sales department—calling general contractors, following up on plan holders, qualifying web requests, and ensuring no revenue slips through the cracks. You will directly support the business owner (who handles technical pricing and estimation) by feeding him fully qualified opportunities and managing client rapport.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Lead Qualification & Bid Administration: Review leads generated by AI and construction-news platforms. Identify top commercial opportunities, handle the administrative requirements to apply for bids, and execute rigorous follow-up protocols.
- Outbound Contractor & Plan Holder Outreach: Proactively call general contractors (GCs) and plan holders on commercial projects where playground equipment or surfacing is sub-contracted. Confirm receipt of bids, address initial inquiries, and build lasting B2B relationships.
- Inbound Speed-to-Lead Response: Rapidly respond to inbound website quote requests. Qualify buyers, gather project specifications, and collect all necessary site/project details required for the owner to generate accurate estimates.
- CRM Buildout & Management: Lead the transition from manual record-keeping to a modern CRM system (evaluating and implementing HubSpot, Pipedrive, or a similar platform). Maintain clean, accurate data for all prospects, active bids, and follow-up schedules.
- Pipeline Coordination: Serve as the strategic sales layer that organizes client data, tracks bid statuses, and coordinates directly with the owner to maximize close rates.
✅ Qualifications & Skills
⭐ Core Requirements:
- High-Level B2B Sales Experience: Proven track record conducting phone-based outreach and sales to corporate clients, municipalities, or general contractors (not B2C/homeowners). Must project authority, communicate professionally, and confidently navigate objections.
- Fluent English & Elite Phone Presence: Exceptional verbal and written English skills with a clear, professional, and persuasive phone demeanor.
- High Accountability & Hustle: A proactive, self-starting mindset capable of operating independently, driving daily activity, and taking ownership of pipeline management.
- CRM Familiarity: Hands-on experience choosing, setting up, or managing CRMs (HubSpot, Pipedrive, etc.) to structure an unorganized pipeline from scratch.
- AI-Enabled Sales & Research Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to leverage modern AI tools (such as ChatGPT, AI-driven bid scrapers, and automated lead intelligence software) to digest project specs and automate prospect research.
- Preferred Experience: Background in construction, commercial bidding, sub-contracting, or architectural/equipment supply industries.
