Client Partner – Politics & Public Affairs

VDX.tv is a global advertising technology company with a 25-year track record of innovation. With 400+ team members distributed across the globe, we're pioneering a different way of working - one that emphasizes self-organizing teams, minimal hierarchy, and maximum impact. Our unique approach has resulted in exceptional team retention, with an average tenure of 8.1 years - a testament to our distinctive culture and work environment.

The Role:

We’re looking for a strategic and consultative business development leader who will advance revenue growth and strategic partnerships within the public affairs space, and Democratic political ecosystem. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with campaign committees, consultants, PACs, advocacy groups, and public affairs firms.

You will serve as a strategic advisor to media consultants, campaign managers, and political decision-makers — helping them integrate digital marketing tactics and our video solutions into persuasion, mobilization, and turnout strategies.

You’ll join a highly collaborative team of specialists and be empowered to work fluidly within a self-organizing environment. This is a chance to help grow our company in an environment that values ownership, collaboration, and constant learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Revenue Growth:

• Drive new business across federal, state, and local campaigns, PACs, and advocacy organizations.
• Develop election-cycle revenue strategies aligned with primary and general election timelines.
• Identify opportunities within competitive races, ballot initiatives, and issue-based advocacy efforts.
• Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets within assigned political accounts.

Strategic Client Advisory:

• Advise clients on integrating connected TV and online video into broader campaign media plans.
• Translate targeting, polling, and voter file insights into effective cross-screen strategies.
• Lead client discovery, pitch, and consultative strategy sessions—both independently and with other team members.

Be a Trusted Industry Expert:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media consultants, political strategists, and public affairs firms.
• Represent VDX.tv at industry conferences and political conventions.
• Monitor trends in political media buying, regulatory changes, and evolving voter engagement tactics.

What We're Looking For:

Required

• 5+ years of combined experience in political media sales, campaign consulting, political ad tech, or public affairs advertising.
• Demonstrated success generating revenue or managing campaigns within political campaigns or advocacy organizations.
• Strong understanding of federal and state election cycles and political media buying practices.
• Established relationships within the Democratic ecosystem or center-left advocacy networks.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven election environments.

Preferred

• Experience working with national committees, statewide campaigns, or major independent expenditure groups.
• Familiarity with compliance considerations for political advertising (FEC, FCC, state-level regulations).
• Experience with CRM tools and political data platforms.

What You Get:

• Comprehensive Benefits
• Unique Perks:
• Twice-yearly week-long company summits at all-inclusive resorts worldwide
• Every 4-5 years: 4-5 weeks paid transformational leave
• Every 5 years: Additional paid week off for you and your family to celebrate your tenure
• Work-Life Integration:
• Flexible hours to accommodate global collaboration
• True work-from-anywhere policy (US or European time zones preferred)
• Focus on outcomes rather than hours worked
• Strong emphasis on work-life balance

Our Unique Environment:

• Remote-first, globally distributed team
• Flat organizational structure with emphasis on self-organizing teams
• No traditional titles or hierarchical reporting relationships
• Focus on outcomes and impact rather than positions or status
• Strong emphasis on written communication and documentation

This Role is Perfect For Someone Who:

• Has a strong work ethic, hunger to learn, and drive to constantly improve

• Is self-motivated and thrives working independently as well as collaboratively in a team accountable to one another

• Enjoys building relationships and solving complex challenges with creativity and resilience

• Embraces both the strategic and hands-on aspects of business development

• Is energized by fast-paced, less hierarchical environments and takes ownership with confidence

• Values impact over title and is excited to help shape a growing vertical

• Is curious about the evolving landscape of marketing and eager to stay ahead of industry trends
