Business Development Representative - PT - AU

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Business Development & Appointment Setter to support their growing sales team. Your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, follow-ups, and appointment setting.

You'll work closely with management to identify prospective clients, build relationships, and schedule discovery meetings. As you develop your knowledge of the business and gain experience, you'll also have the opportunity to participate in client discovery calls and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients through LinkedIn, online research, job boards, and other lead generation platforms.
• Generate your own leads and build a healthy sales pipeline.
• Conduct outbound cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and follow-up activities.
• Qualify prospective clients and identify business opportunities.
• Schedule appointments and discovery meetings with decision-makers.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and update prospect information.
• Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients through consistent follow-up.
• Work closely with management to achieve appointment-setting and business development targets.
• Participate in client discovery calls and presentations as you grow within the role.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Business Development, Appointment Setting, Telemarketing, Lead Generation, Sales, or a similar outbound role.
• Experience generating your own leads through LinkedIn, online research, and other lead generation platforms.
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound cold calls and follow-up calls.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Confident, proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience using CRM systems, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Previous experience working for a recruitment agency, staffing firm, executive search firm, or a similar B2B service industry is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting Australian businesses or clients is an advantage but not essential.
