Business Development Representative – Field Sales (Remote / Territory-Based)

Join our dynamic Sales Team and play a key role in driving growth for JPMorganChase. As a Business Development Representative – Field Sales, you’ll promote innovative payment solutions, build lasting client and partner relationships, and deliver against ambitious sales targets, while working remotely and managing a defined territory.

In this role, you will generate revenue by selling products and services to new and existing clients within an assigned territory. You will also be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of referring partners (e.g., bank partners and other referral sources), turning partner relationships into consistent inbound referral volume and closed merchant business. This position reports to a Vice President, Small Business Sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth by selling Chase Payment Solutions products and services to new and existing customers within an assigned territory.
• Own territory planning and execution, including outreach strategy, and weekly activity goals.
• Identify and assess customer needs through outbound outreach and scheduled client meetings; deliver tailored consultative presentations that align solutions to business requirements.
• Manage a territory of referring partners and build a predictable referral engine, including:
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with partner stakeholders
  • Conducting regular touchpoints, trainings, and updates to keep partners enabled
  • Managing referral intake, follow-up, and feedback loops to improve conversion
  • Tracking partner activity, pipeline influence, and outcomes
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and opportunities, balancing direct prospecting with partner-sourced referrals.
• Provide timely follow-up and coordination from initial engagement through close, including handling common objections and finalizing agreement on terms.
• Ensure strong execution of sales-related and administrative responsibilities, including accurate lead, referral, pipeline, and activity tracking in Salesforce.
• Prepare and submit contracts and supporting documentation; ensure completeness and accuracy to reduce processing delays.
• Provide post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and support long-term retention and expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal sales, implementation, and support teams to deliver a strong end-to-end client experience.
• Travel locally within the territory for in-person client and partner meetings as required.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business or sales management, or equivalent training/experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of outside/field sales experience (B2B preferred).
• Strong consultative selling skills with proven ability to develop relationships and drive deals through to close.
• Ability to manage a territory independently, including partner relationship management and pipeline discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable presenting to customers and partner stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Chase Payment Solutions products and pricing practices (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly).
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and disciplined activity tracking/reporting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time management and follow-through.
