About this role

At Mindler, our mission is to make high-quality mental healthcare more accessible to everyone who needs it.

We are a leading European digital mental healthcare provider, combining experienced clinicians with innovative digital tools to deliver effective, personalised mental health support.

In the UK, we have an established track record of delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to the NHS, alongside a growing presence in the private healthcare market. Our services support adults, children and young people through a range of flexible treatment pathways, combining human-led therapy with digital innovation.

We are now looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Director to accelerate our growth across the UK healthcare market.

The opportunity

This is a senior, commercially focused role with significant autonomy and direct accountability for new business growth.

Your primary focus will be accelerating Mindler's growth in the UK healthcare market, particularly private medical insurance, income protection insurance and NHS Talking Therapies. You will build on Mindler's established market presence and work alongside our existing account management team.

You will identify and develop new commercial opportunities, establish relationships with senior decision-makers, and take opportunities from initial engagement through to contract signature.

We are looking for someone who combines strategic commercial thinking with a hands-on approach to sales. You will be comfortable shaping our market approach, but equally motivated to be out meeting prospective customers, developing relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and winning business.

You will take a consultative approach to business development, investing time to understand prospective customers' priorities, challenges and unmet needs. You will use these insights to identify where Mindler can deliver value, shape compelling customer-specific propositions and lead opportunities from initial engagement through to contract signature.

Working closely with the UK Managing Director and colleagues across clinical, product, operations and marketing, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering Mindler's next phase of growth.

This is a home-based position with required UK travel. Candidates also have the option to work out of our Cambridge headquarters.

Key responsibilities:

Drive new business growth

Develop and execute commercial strategy

Lead commercial opportunities to successful outcomes

Own commercial performance

Success in this role will be measured by annual new business revenue secured, growth in the value of the qualified sales pipeline, and conversion of opportunities into signed contracts.

About you

You are an experienced healthcare business development professional with a demonstrable track record of winning significant contracts and delivering revenue growth.

You understand the UK private healthcare market and know how to build relationships with senior decision-makers, navigate complex sales cycles and convert opportunities into signed contracts.

You are commercially ambitious, self-motivated and confident operating independently. You combine strategic thinking with the energy and persistence needed to turn opportunities into commercial success.

Why join Mindler?

This is an opportunity to play an important role in growing an established mental healthcare business with ambitious plans for the UK.

You will have the autonomy to shape commercial opportunities, direct access to senior leadership, and the ability to influence how we develop our services and partnerships.

You will join a collaborative, mission-driven team combining clinical expertise, technology and commercial ambition, with the shared goal of helping more people access effective mental healthcare.

If you are motivated by winning business, developing meaningful partnerships and delivering measurable growth in mental healthcare, we would love to hear from you.
