Position: Bilingual Turkish STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type:Contract
Compensation:$30–$34/hour
Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Turkish across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Work independently and asynchronously to ensure model safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model understanding of Turkish technical topics.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Turkish and business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Türkiye or the wider MENA region.
• Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or radiation physics.
• Depth in a specific subfield such as organic synthesis, molecular biology, or virology.
• Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
