As ASG continues to grow, we are expanding our Madikwe offering and are looking for a passionate and experienced B2C Luxury Travel Consultant – Madikwe Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines a genuine passion for safari with proven direct-to-client sales experience and the ability to turn a client's travel vision into an exceptional, tailor-made journey.

The Opportunity

As a Madikwe Specialist, you will work directly with clients from their initial enquiry through to booking and post-trip follow-up.

You will be responsible for designing and selling bespoke Madikwe safari experiences, using your first-hand safari knowledge and destination expertise to guide clients towards the right lodges, experiences and itineraries.

This is a sales-focused B2C role. You will be speaking directly with clients, understanding their needs, consulting on their travel plans, presenting suitable options, overcoming objections, upselling where appropriate, and ultimately closing high-value bookings.

Safari Experience Is Essential

A genuine safari background and strong knowledge of Madikwe are essential for this position.

We are looking for someone who understands safari beyond simply having an interest in wildlife or travel. You should have practical knowledge of the safari environment, lodges, game viewing, guest experiences, logistics and what makes different properties and experiences suitable for different types of travellers.

Candidates without relevant safari experience and destination knowledge will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult directly with clients to understand their travel requirements, preferences, budgets and expectations.
• Design and sell tailor-made luxury safari itineraries focused on Madikwe Game Reserve.
• Use your safari expertise to recommend suitable lodges, room types, activities and experiences.
• Manage the client journey from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking and post-trip follow-up.
• Prepare and present compelling itineraries and quotations.
• Build strong relationships with clients and deliver a highly personalised sales experience.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and enhance client itineraries.
• Confidently handle client questions, objections and changes throughout the sales process.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience from sale through to travel.
• Maintain strong and current knowledge of Madikwe lodges, safari experiences, wildlife and surrounding areas.
• Keep CRM systems and client information accurately updated.
• Stay informed about new properties, experiences and developments within the Madikwe region.
• Contribute to a high-performance sales culture while maintaining ASG's high standards of client service.

Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 1 year's proven experience in direct B2C sales to clients.
• Relevant safari experience is essential.
• Strong, practical knowledge of Madikwe Game Reserve and its safari offering.
• Experience selling or consulting on travel, tourism, safari or luxury experiences.
• Proven ability to consult with clients, identify their needs and convert enquiries into sales.
• Experience working with high-value clients and/or luxury travel is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Madikwe lodges, safari experiences and logistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sales ability, including the confidence to upsell and close bookings.
• Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining accurate client information.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for African safari, wildlife and luxury travel.
