Salary Range:

• Mid-Level:$120,000–$130,000

• Expert Level:$170,000–$180,000

Position Overview

Our clientis seeking multiple Azure Infrastructure Administrators, ranging from mid-level to expert-level, to support a Department of Veterans Affairs program.

These positions will provide hands-on administration, engineering, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterpriseMicrosoft Azure cloud infrastructure. Administrators will work closely with cloud engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, application, and operations teams tomaintainsecure, reliable, scalable, andhighly availableenvironments.

Candidates will be considered atdifferent levelsbased on their technicalexpertise, relevant experience, certifications, and ability to independently manage increasingly complex Azure infrastructure responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor,maintain, and troubleshootMicrosoft Azure infrastructure and cloud resources.

• Provision and manage Azure compute resources, includingVirtual Machines, managed disks, availability options, and supporting services.

• Administer Azure storage services, including storage accounts, Azure Files, managed disks, backup, and recovery capabilities.

• Configure and manage Azure networking, includingVNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, routing, load balancing, and connectivity.

• Develop andmaintainInfrastructure as Code (IaC)solutions using Terraform or comparable technologies.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes.

• SupportMicrosoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC, including identity and access management.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security and proactively address potential issues.

• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

• Supportbackup, disaster recovery, business continuity, patching, and infrastructure resiliencyrequirements.

• Support cloud governance, security, configuration management, and change management activities.

• Develop andmaintaintechnical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, cybersecurity teams, application teams, and other technical stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced administrators at senior/expert levels.

RequiredQualifications

Mid-Level

• 6+ years of applicable professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree

• Hands-on experience administeringMicrosoft Azure infrastructurein an enterprise environment.

• Experience with Azurecompute, storage, networking, identity, and infrastructure management.

• Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and backup/recovery.

• Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC.

• Experience withTerraform or other Infrastructure as Code technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 15+ years of applicable professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree

• Extensive hands-on experience designing, administering, engineering, and supportingenterprise Azure environments.

• Advancedexpertiseacross Azurecompute, storage, networking, identity, security, automation, and resiliency.

• Strong experience withTerraform/IaCand infrastructure automation.

• Demonstratedexperiencetroubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure issues and performing root-cause analysis.

• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity.

• Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor less-experienced team members.
