Provides intermediate-level support to underwriters by preparing documentation, processing policies, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information within the underwriting process. Maintains underwriting files, liaises with internal teams and external partners, and assists in the evaluation and processing of coverage renewals and endorsements with limited supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

​​•Assistunderwriters with data collection, policy documentation, and file maintenance.
• Review and verify policy forms, applications, and endorsements for completeness and accuracy.
• Process and issue policy changes, cancellations, and renewalsin accordance withcompany procedures.
• Communicate with brokers, agents, and internal departments to resolve inquiries and obtain required information.
• Perform rating and premium calculations using underwriting guidelines and systems.
• Compile underwriting data for reporting, analysis, and audits.
•Maintaincompliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
•Identifydiscrepancies and escalate complex issues to underwriting staff as needed.​

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

​​• High school diploma or equivalent isrequired.
• 1–3 years of experience in underwriting support, insurance administration, ora relatedrole.
• Familiarity with insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and rating procedures is preferred.
• Experience with data entry and documentation within insurance systems.​

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

​​•Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability tomaintainaccuraterecords.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload under minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding of insurance terminology and policy administration.
• Problem-solving and issue resolution skills.​
