Job Overview

The Assistant, Seller Success - Marketplace, supports the growth of Macy’s Marketplace. This entrepreneurial role requires strong communication and analytical skills to secure lasting partnerships with new and current Marketplace sellers for Macy’. The Assistant reports to the Senior Manager, Account Management and collaborates closely with overall Marketplace team, Digital, Merchandising, and other cross-functional partners across the enterprise to execute the Marketplace growth strategy.

What You Will Do

• Assist the Senior Manager in executing the Marketplace growth strategy effectively.
• Continuously refine the Marketplace seller success process to drive efficiency and success.
• Contribute to defining and measuring how Macy’s Inc. can best serve the seller community.
• Help implement the strategy for category, curation, and merchandising, focusing on growing Tier 2 & 3 sellers to enhance the customer experience.
• Supporting new sellers in understanding growth levers to drive success
• Collaborate with cross functional teams across marketplace, digital, and the merchant organization to translate merchant goals into actionable initiatives on the Marketplace platform.
• Build a deep understanding of the Macy’s brand and customer base to ensure the Marketplace aligns with brand values and customer expectations.
• Manage administrative tasks required to support the ongoing growth of the Marketplace supporting both senior managers and account managers
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
• In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Day to Day Tasks

• Build and own book of business for Tier 2 & Tier 3 accounts identifying opportunities for strategic partnership and untapped growth
• Daily seller calls, prep needed prior to calls, recap emails, support, and follow ups post call
• Collaborate in POD discussions sharing wins, opportunities, and priorities to accelerate growth for your book of business
• Assist senior managers and account managers with seller follow ups, JIRAs, WBR prep, and additional tasks as they arise
• Conduct monthly competitive shopping analysis to identify new opportunities to drive growth sharing findings across seller success and business development
• Support and prep decks for bi-monthly merchant calls
• Share business driving promotions and marketing needs to seller success promotions/marketing team to gain business driving exposure (add to marketing content file)
• Submit affiliates on a weekly basis to drive additional exposure for top deals/sellers in your area of ownership
• Test the site during key promotional time frames and “shop” like a customer to identify areas of opportunity to partner with site merch on optimizations
• Share seller leads based on seller conversations with macy’s media network team
• Partner & collaborate with business development, onboarding, and item on new launches to ensure sellers are set up for success. Have first call with new seller within a week of launching
• Identify growth opportunities within area of ownership sharing with business development where there is untapped potential for new brands/categories with your seller base
