We are seeking an experienced AI Marketing Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of AI-enabled initiatives across Marketing and Communications.

This is not an AI Engineer or AI Developer position. The Project Manager will serve as the critical bridge between Marketing business owners and AI development teams, translating marketing needs into structured requirements and ensuring initiatives move successfully from concept and scoping through development, pilot, adoption, and measurable business results.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management experience with a background in digital marketing, content management, web, social media, or marketing technology projects, along with enough practical AI knowledge to effectively manage AI-enabled initiatives.

Position Overview

The AI Marketing Project Manager will manage a portfolio of AI initiatives supporting Marketing and Communications.

You will work closely with Marketing stakeholders and distributed technical teams, including AI development resources primarily based in Ireland, to establish scope, requirements, milestones, dependencies, risks, acceptance criteria, and measurable KPIs.

This role requires someone who can create structure in an evolving environment while balancing business needs with technical feasibility, data readiness, responsible AI requirements, privacy, security, and organizational adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & AI Project Delivery

• Lead AI-enabled Marketing and Communications projects from initial concept through implementation
  • Develop and maintain integrated project and portfolio plans
  • Define scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, decision points, and delivery risks
  • Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities
  • Coordinate projects through scoping, development, pilot, testing, release, and operational handoff
  • Ensure appropriate project and system documentation is completed

Business & Technical Partnership

• Serve as the bridge between Marketing business owners and AI development teams
  • Translate marketing priorities and business problems into actionable project requirements
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria and expected outcomes
  • Obtain appropriate stakeholder approvals and sign-offs
  • Coordinate business, architecture, engineering, data, testing, security, vendor, and distributed delivery teams
  • Maintain alignment between business objectives and technical delivery

Digital Marketing & Content Initiatives

• Support AI use cases involving digital marketing and communications
  • Partner with stakeholders across content management, web, social media, and related marketing functions
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve marketing processes, workflows, and outcomes
  • Help business owners evaluate potential AI use cases and expected value

AI Delivery & Governance

• Apply practical knowledge of AI concepts throughout project delivery
  • Challenge assumptions and help stakeholders appropriately scope AI use cases
  • Address data quality and readiness requirements
  • Coordinate integration and architecture dependencies
  • Incorporate privacy, security, legal, compliance, and governance requirements into project plans
  • Establish appropriate human-in-the-loop checkpoints
  • Ensure responsible AI considerations are addressed before deployment
  • Support solution validation and release readiness

Risk & Dependency Management

• Identify and manage critical project dependencies
  • Monitor data readiness, platform integrations, architecture, resources, and SME availability
  • Identify risks and issues early and drive resolution
  • Escalate critical concerns and decisions when necessary
  • Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, decisions, actions, and approvals

Pilot, Testing & Implementation

• Coordinate pilots and proofs of concept
  • Manage testing and solution validation activities
  • Establish release readiness requirements
  • Coordinate implementation and transition to sustainable operational support
  • Ensure appropriate technical and business documentation is completed before handoff

Adoption & Change Management

• Develop adoption and change-management plans
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications and training
  • Engage internal champions and business users
  • Establish feedback loops following implementation
  • Monitor user adoption and business impact
  • Help ensure AI solutions transition successfully into ongoing business operations

Reporting & Executive Communication

• Lead regular project status meetings

• Provide clear reporting on milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with project sponsors and executive stakeholders
  • Facilitate gateway and decision reviews for business-critical initiatives
  • Maintain traceability of key decisions, approvals, and actions

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant project management experience
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology, digital, data, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives
  • Experience supporting digital marketing, content management, web, social media marketing, MarTech, or related Marketing projects
  • Practical understanding of AI concepts and AI-enabled solution delivery
  • Strong Agile project management experience
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams
  • Experience working with distributed or international technical teams
  • Strong project planning and dependency management skills

• Risk and issue management experience

• Experience partnering with business owners and technical delivery teams
  • Experience working across architecture, engineering, data, testing, security, vendors, and SMEs
  • Experience defining project KPIs and acceptance criteria
  • Experience supporting pilots, testing, implementation, and operational handoffs
  • Strong executive and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and create structure in ambiguous environments

AI Knowledge Expectations

This position does not require hands-on AI development or machine learning engineering.

Candidates should, however, understand AI well enough to:
