About this role
About MagicMagic is a leading modern outsourcing platform that connects SMBs to high-quality remote workers, from SDRs to virtual assistants and more. With roots in Silicon Valley and backing from top venture capitalists, our workers are supercharged with a combination of the latest AI technology and training. We came out of Y Combinator in 2015, have grown to 1,000+ remote workers, and are backed by Sequoia Capital with over $30M in funding.

Let's get this straight from the jump: as an Account Lead, you're in-house Magic - not a VA placed with a client. You lead and coach the EAs matched to our clients, and you make sure both sides of that partnership actually work.
That's a different job than "manager." You're not stacking direct reports - you're owning the whole partnership: the client relationship and the humans delivering on it. Part account lead, part coach, zero script.
Your EAs aren't people who report to you. They're people you lead through trust, because that's the only kind of authority that actually holds up at 2am on a client call. When your team excels, clients stay. When clients stay, Magic grows. If you want ownership - real ownership, not a title - keep reading.
What Winning Looks Like
Operations ToolsMonitor performance across HubSpot, Slack, Discord, Cloudtalk, ChatGPT, Workspace, and Penthouse. Flag billing questions to the billing team - you coordinate, not calculate. Submit a daily Account Lead Pulse (ALP) report.
Your Superpowers Grit / "Plow" Mentality · Learning Agility · Coachability · Comfort with Ambiguity · Leadership Instinct · Tech Savviness
Training RealityYour first 3 weeks are intense — and we want you to know that going in:
