The Role

Vermillio is looking for a driven, relationship-first sales professional to build and grow our Creator and Talent business. You'll own the full sales cycle for TraceID Protection and Licensing across actors, athletes, celebrities, influencers, digital creators, and the managers, agencies, and networks that represent them. Creators and Talent are among the most targeted victims of deepfakes, fake profiles, impersonation scams, and unauthorized AI training — and you'll be the person who shows them how TraceID puts them back in control of their likeness and content.

This is a chance to help define how an entire creator and talent economy protects and monetizes itself in the generative AI era. Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of sales, agency or management experience in Hollywood, sports and/or talent creator economy, brings an existing network of managers and agencies, and is excited to sell a category-defining product.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle for creator and talent accounts — prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close — for TraceID Protection plans and Licensing.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of individual talent, influencers, talent managers, agencies, MCNs, law firms and influencer marketing firms.
• Develop channel partnerships with management companies and agencies that can bring rosters of creators and talent onto TraceID.
• Identify creators with strong content libraries for TraceID Licensing and help them prepare their content and NIL assets for AI licensing opportunities.
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and conversion targets; maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline in our CRM.
• Partner with Customer Success on smooth onboarding, renewals, and upgrades between plan tiers.
• Bring industry insight back to Product and Marketing — NIL and rights management trends in the AI space.
• Represent Vermillio at creator-economy events, conferences, and industry gatherings (e.g., VidCon, creator summits).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of sales agency, talent management or business development experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, with measurable results you can share.
• Deep familiarity with social media, Hollywood and creator ecosystems.
• Strong skills in pitching and closing high-value talent relationships, presentation, and negotiation skills; comfortable selling both individual subscriptions and multi-creator roster deals.
• Proficiency with a CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) and disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident with high-profile clients and internal leadership.
• Sound judgment handling sensitive and confidential client information with discretion.
• Understanding of generative AI and the emerging AI licensing landscape.

Nice to Have

• Experience selling SaaS, subscription, or security/brand-protection products.
• An established network of managers, agencies, talent and/or creators.
• Familiarity with right of publicity / NIL, copyright, DMCA takedowns, or deepfake and impersonation issues.
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment.

What to Expect

This is a collaborative role with high ownership and low bureaucracy. You'll sit on the Sales team and report directly to the Chief Business Officer. The work is meaningful: we're helping creators and talent protect their likeness and their work in the generative AI era — and helping them share in the value it creates.
