The Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to join our Capital Markets (sales) team and own the full client acquisition cycle for Axis Financial Advisors' services, from the first conversation through closing and onboarding.
At AxisKey, we do not approach sales as traditional product selling. You will act as a strategic partner to the firms you speak with, helping them understand how a reliable accounting function supports the way they raise capital and grow, while positioning Axis Financial Advisors as their outsourced accounting department, covering bookkeeping, tax preparation, audit, and accounting systems.
You'll build and manage your own pipeline, lead structured business conversations, and guide firms through the full decision process. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role. It is also a new sales motion: you will help design and refine how these services are sold, so we are looking for someone who is coachable, takes initiative, and wants to build.
What You’ll Do- Own the full client acquisition cycle from outreach and discovery to closing
- Build, manage, and grow your own pipeline, prioritizing capital-raising funds, then real estate and operating companies
- Lead structured discovery calls and strategic conversations about each firm's accounting, tax, audit, and investor reporting needs
- Understand how each firm raises capital, tracks its investors and operations, and where its accounting falls short
- Position Axis Financial Advisors as the accounting department behind the firm: bookkeeping, tax preparation, audit, and systems preparation
- Scope and propose the right package with the CPA delivery team, and bring in a CPA for technical questions
- Stay within what a non-licensed seller may say about regulated services such as tax and audit
- Build strong long-term relationships throughout the sales process
- Handle objections, commercial discussions, and negotiations confidently
- Collaborate closely with the Client Onboarding and CPA delivery teams for a smooth transition from signed client to active engagement
- Coordinate with the AxisKey Capital Strategists on shared accounts and referrals
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
- Take ownership of revenue generation, conversion performance, and overall sales outcomes
- Help design, test, and refine the sales motion for CPA services, including messaging, entry channels, and outbound strategy
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, with exceptional professional communication skills
- 3–7+ years of experience in full-cycle business development, consultative B2B sales, or high-level client-facing roles, ideally in financial services, fund services, banking, or professional services
- Proven ability to build your own pipeline, manage relationships, and close new business
- A working understanding of financial statements, taxes, and basic accounting, and the curiosity to learn the rest
- Confidence leading business conversations with founders, executives, fund managers, and finance leaders
- Strong consultative and strategic communication skills
- A professional, polished, and credible presence in meetings and presentations
- Coachable: you take feedback and apply it quickly
- An early adopter of AI tools who uses them to work faster and smarter
- Initiative and ownership of your pipeline, your results, and your own development
- Comfortable building a new sales process in a fast-paced environment
- Strong commercial judgment and problem-solving mindset
- Experience selling accounting, tax, audit, fund administration, or other professional or outsourced services
- Experience with private equity, real estate investment, venture capital, or capital markets, and their investor reporting needs
- Familiarity with working alongside fundraising or investor relations teams
- Experience selling recurring, retainer-based services
- Familiarity with CRM systems and outbound business development workflows
- Existing network among fund managers, real estate operators, or finance leaders
