Senior Software Engineer

Remote - India

Summary of Position

If you’re passionate about technical innovation and making a meaningful impact, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will design and build scalable solutions that power seamless digital healthcare experiences. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing user engagement and reinforcing Teladoc Health’s position as a leader in healthcare technology.

Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Build and maintain microservices architecture for high-performance systems.
• Develop integrations to improve user experience and platform capabilities.
• Design and optimize database schemas in MySQL (or other RDBMS)
• Implement object-oriented models using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and manage cloud-native applications on Azure, leveraging Azure services.
• Collaborate with QA teams to enhance automation and product quality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and bugs.
• Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and product iterations.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• 2+ years of experience with React.js for frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or gRPC services.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud and Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, design patterns, OOP/OOD principles.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases, including schema design and optimization.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple product releases and iterations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with MySQL including schema design and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience in Azure Cloud environment and Azure services
• Proficiency in React.js for building modern, responsive user interfaces
• Familiarity with HL7 FHIR R4 standards and RESTful health data exchange.
