What You Will Do

As a Product Marketing Manager, you operate at the intersection of product discovery and go-to-market execution. As a core member of an empowered product team (SVPG framework), you help ensure customer and market insights shape what we build while translating product capabilities into compelling positioning, messaging, and business outcomes.

You help the team build products that customers understand, adopt, and are willing to pay for. Your primary focus is VistaCreate, with secondary support for DepositPhotos.

Product Discovery & Market Validation

• Market Validation

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering throughout discovery to answer: Will customers understand this, choose to use it, pay for it, and can we communicate its value clearly?

• Customer & Market Insights

  • Bring the voice of the customer into product discovery through interviews, surveys, usability testing, market research, and competitive intelligence. Partner with the empowered team members to ensure these insights inform product decisions and prioritization.

• Segmentation, Positioning & Value Proposition

  • Define target customer segments, key use cases, positioning, and value propositions for new products and features to ensure product decisions align with customer needs and market opportunities.

• Message & Concept Validation

  • Design and run experiments — such as fake-door tests, landing page variants, prototype messaging, and pricing research — to reduce uncertainty before development and improve launch readiness.

• Pricing & Packaging

  • Partner with Product, Analytics, and Leadership on pricing, packaging, and monetization decisions to maximize customer adoption and business success.

Product Commercialization & Go-to-Market

• Positioning & Messaging Frameworks

  • Own product positioning, messaging frameworks, launch narratives, and value propositions that enable Product, Marketing, Support, and Sales teams to communicate customer value consistently.

• Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead GTM strategy for major feature launches by defining target customer segments, messaging, launch plans, success metrics, and coordinating cross-functional execution across Product, Marketing, Support, Organic, Paid, Content, Lifecycle, and Social Media.

• Lifecycle & Adoption

  • Partner with the Lifecycle Marketing and Product Manager to evolve onboarding, activation, and lifecycle communications as the product evolves. This role defines the strategy and messaging but does not execute email campaigns.

• Conversion Optimization

  • Use product analytics to understand customer behavior, identify friction across key user journeys, and design experiments that improve activation, feature adoption, and conversion.

• Launch Enablement

  • Prepare launch assets and internal enablement materials, including messaging guides, FAQs, release notes, customer-facing documentation, and internal training to ensure consistent product communication across teams.

• Product Marketing Expertise

  • Strong expertise in positioning, messaging, customer segmentation, Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD), product-led growth (PLG), onboarding, and go-to-market strategy for self-serve SaaS products.

• Product Analytics & Experimentation

  • Experience using product analytics to understand customer behavior, evaluate feature adoption, identify funnel opportunities, and validate product and messaging hypotheses through experimentation.

• Customer Research

  • Hands-on experience conducting customer interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis to generate actionable product and marketing insights.

• Pricing & Monetization

  • Understanding of freemium business models, product-led growth, pricing strategy, packaging, and conversion optimization.

• AI & Workflow Automation

  • Experience using AI tools and workflow automation to improve customer research, competitive analysis, content creation, and go-to-market execution.

• Cross-functional Product Collaboration

  • 3+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2C SaaS, working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, and Marketing in cross-functional product teams.

• Influence Without Authority

  • Ability to align stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, and Leadership around customer needs and business priorities.

• Customer-centric Mindset

  • Naturally curious about customer problems and able to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into product and go-to-market decisions.

• Strategic Prioritization

  • Ability to balance multiple product initiatives across VistaCreate and DepositPhotos while focusing on the highest-impact opportunities.

• English Proficiency

  • Advanced written and verbal English with the ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling customer value.
