DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT COMMUNICATIONS

JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Development Communications leads the development of strategic, donor-centered communications that advance the mission and philanthropic priorities of One More Child. This role translates organizational priorities, program impact, and funding opportunities into compelling proposals, stewardship communications, appeals, and other cases for support. Through exceptional writing, creative thinking, strategic collaboration, and effective project management, the Director develops high-quality communications, strengthens proposal resources and processes, and ensures philanthropic messaging is accurate, consistent, compelling, and aligned with One More Child’s mission, voice, and strategic vision.

Role Location: Remote position with location based within reasonable driving distance to a One More Child Campus in Florida. Florida campus locations include Lakeland, Jacksonville, Bradenton, Sarasota, Gainesville, and Miami.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to operate a forklift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This job requires the ability to work in stressful conditions from time to time and remain focused for extended periods of time. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (boxes, documents, and/or equipment) may be required on occasion.
