Chief Sales Officer

For the first time in GetResponse’s history, we are creating the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) role.

GetResponse is a profitable, founder-owned B2B SaaS company. We’ve built a global business without external financing, serving 350,000+ SMBs and 1,000+ enterprise customers.

As we enter the next stage of our growth, we’re giving Sales dedicated executive ownership, with responsibility for New Sales MRR and the opportunity to shape how the organisation evolves across markets.

Reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, you’ll lead our international Sales organisation and work closely with the wider leadership team to shape the company’s commercial growth.

The Opportunity

You’re joining an established international organisation with significant commercial assets already in place: a large existing customer base, continuous stream of product qualified leads, years of CRM data and sales teams across multiple markets.

• Signal-led Outbound: Build a research- and signal-led outbound motion focused on relevance, timing and quality rather than volume.
• Existing Demand: Turn our existing customer base and product qualified leads into structured, scalable sources of pipeline and new business.
• Partner & Channel Growth: Evolve the Partner Program and establish a partner-sourced pipeline as a more measurable and scalable contributor to growth.
• Commercial Infrastructure: Strengthen forecasting, CRM, quota, and incentive structures to support better visibility and predictability.
• Sales Leadership: Strengthen regional leadership, raise the talent bar and build a connected Sales organisation across markets.

What You Bring

• Executive Sales Leadership: Track record of owning significant new business targets through multiple layers of leadership across European and international markets.
• B2B Technology: Deep experience in SaaS, martech, e-commerce or adjacent B2B technology.
• Challenger Experience: Proven ability to grow in mature, highly competitive markets and compete successfully with larger or better-known players.
• Commercial Growth: Experience turning existing business assets, including customer base, trial flow, CRM opportunities or partner ecosystems, into measurable pipeline or revenue.
• GTM & AI: Practical experience building effective go-to-market motions and applying AI to sales or commercial processes, with tangible results.
• Organisation & Talent: A strong track record of building sales organisations, developing leaders, raising the talent bar and making clear decisions on performance.
• Professional English: Essential for leading an international Sales organisation and working with the wider leadership team.

Interview Process

1. Initial Call: A focused conversation about your leadership journey, our strategic context, and mutual expectations.
2. Commercial Strategy Deep-Dive (COO): A deeper discussion about the business, the role and the opportunities ahead for Sales.
3. Executive Session: An interactive session with the Leadership Team focused on GetResponse’s strategic priorities, commercial opportunities, culture and the next stage of growth.
4. Peer Conversations: You’ll meet key leaders you’ll work closely with across the organisation.
5. Final Alignment & Offer: We’ll bring the process together, align on the remaining details and, if there’s a strong mutual fit, make you an offer.
