We’re hunting for a high-octane Senior Marketing Manager who can turn raw data, customer psychology, and relentless execution into pure, profitable scale.
About the Role
As our Senior Marketing Manager, you hold the keys to the entire Starbond DTC engine. You will own growth across paid ads, lifecycle, content, SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), social media, and site conversion.
This isn't just a marketing role—it’s a unit economics role. You live and breathe LTV, CAC, CAC payback, gross margins, and contribution margins. You’ll direct world-class agencies (Meta, Google, Email, AEO) and lead our internal creative crew, setting bold performance standards and delivering crystal-clear, fluff-free updates straight to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
1. Scalable Acquisition & Growth
Build and scale high-performing acquisition channels across Meta, Google, Shopify, Email, SEO, and Amazon.
Drive profitable growth—optimizing for contribution margin and high-value customers, not just top-line revenue or vanity ROAS.
Establish strict CAC thresholds; scale what wins, pivot what stalls, and ruthlessly kill what loses money.
Synchronize ad creative, landing pages, offers, and inventory for seamless, high-converting customer journeys.
2. Retention & LTV Obsession
Master our LTV engine—analyzing repeat purchase rates, cohort health, and cross-sell dynamics to fuel acquisition strategy.
Design high-impact lifecycle campaigns that boost repeat orders, raise AOV, and turn one-time buyers into lifelong brand fans.
Keep email and lifecycle channels operating at peak deliverability, sharp segmentation, and undeniable revenue contribution.
3. Paid Media & Conversion Magic
Lead paid media strategy, budget pacing, creative testing frameworks, and attribution modeling.
Enforce a "data-first" rulebook: every budget shift or creative test must be backed by unit economics.
Team up with our web developer to turn our Shopify store into a frictionless, high-converting conversion engine.
4. Agency Command & Accountability
Keep external Meta, Google, Email, and AEO agencies on their toes using clear scorecards, tight SLAs, and bold performance targets.
Audit agency recommendations independently; demand rapid root-cause analysis when targets slip.
Protect the brand: ensure Starbond maintains total ownership of all ad accounts, tracking, dashboards, and creative IP.
5. Creative Execution & Team Leadership
Rally and mentor the internal marketing team with clear ownership, high standards, and fast feedback loops.
Build a rapid creative pipeline—briefing, testing, and scaling new hooks, ad angles, and formats every single week.
Protect brand equity by winning on value and story—never relying on lazy, margin-killing discounts.
Ship a weekly CEO scorecard that breaks down what moved, why it moved, and what we're executing next.

Flawless Velocity: Creative tests, ad launches, and agency deliverables hit the mark on time, every time.
Data Clarity: LTV, CAC, CAC payback, MER, and ROAS are tracked with absolute precision to steer every decision.
Uncompromising Ownership: Internal teams and agency partners operate with total alignment, urgency, and pride.
What We’re Looking For
DTC Battle-Tested: Proven track record running end-to-end growth for a fast-scaling DTC e-commerce brand.
Unit Economics Master: Deep, intuitive fluency in CAC, LTV, MER, Contribution Margin, and Cohort Retention.
Modern Stack Savvy: Hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo (or similar), SEO/AEO tactics, and Shopify.
Agency Handler: Unafraid to challenge assumptions, audit agency performance, and demand top-tier results.
Natural Leader: Experience coaching creative teams, setting clear KPIs, and cultivating a culture of accountability.
Sharp Analytical Mind: Able to slice through noise, challenge weak data, and translate numbers into profitable action.
Candidates must be able to work 40 hours (9AM to 6PM Pacific Standard hours)
