Lead Generation Specialist

We're looking for a Lead Generation Specialist to own outbound email outreach and email automation for a fast-growing better-for-you snack brand with retail placement across 15 or more regional grocery chains. You will build and manage outbound email sequences, set up and optimize automation workflows, identify and qualify prospects, and keep the pipeline moving through consistent, high-quality written outreach.

This is an email-first role. You will be writing sharp, personalized cold emails, building automated sequences, managing prospect lists, and tracking what works. What You'll Work On

Outbound Email Outreach

• Write clear, personalized, non-spammy cold emails to prospective accounts, buyers, and distribution partners
• Build and manage multi-step outbound email sequences that nurture prospects from cold to engaged
• Test subject lines, messaging, and calls to action to continuously improve open and reply rates
• Follow up on open email threads and move engaged prospects forward in the pipeline

Email Automation and Workflow Setup

• Set up, manage, and optimize outbound email automation workflows using tools such as Instantly, Smartlead, Apollo, Outreach, or similar platforms
• Build and maintain email sequences, cadences, and automation rules that run reliably at scale
• Monitor deliverability, bounce rates, and spam metrics and take corrective action when needed
• Keep automation systems clean, organized, and performing consistently

Prospect List Building and Management

• Research and build targeted prospect lists across retail buyers, distributors, brokers, and wholesale accounts
• Enrich and qualify prospect data before loading into outreach sequences
• Segment lists based on account type, region, or product fit to improve email relevance and response rates

CRM and Pipeline Management

• Log all outreach activity and email engagement accurately in Salesforce or the designated CRM
• Maintain clean pipeline data with clear next steps on every active account
• Track email campaign performance metrics and report on open rates, reply rates, and pipeline contribution consistently

Account Reactivation and Follow-Up

• Re-engage inactive or stalled accounts through targeted email campaigns
• Support reorder and account expansion outreach for existing customers
• Maintain a structured follow-up cadence across all active and dormant accounts

What You Bring

• Proven experience in outbound email outreach, lead generation, or a similar email-driven role
• Strong written English communication skills with the ability to write personalized cold emails that do not read as templates
• Hands-on experience building and managing outbound email automation workflows using platforms such as Instantly, Smartlead, Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, or similar
• Understanding of email deliverability including domain warming, bounce management, and spam avoidance
• Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM for logging activity and tracking pipeline
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on open outreach threads
• Self-directed and disciplined with the ability to manage a high volume of outreach without dropping quality
• Available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time with reliable high-speed internet

Nice to Have

• Experience in CPG, food and beverage, retail, or consumer brand outreach
• Familiarity with grocery, natural channel, or regional retail distribution channels
• Experience with prospect list building tools such as ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar data platforms
• Background using AI tools to personalize outreach at scale
