Role Overview:
As Communication Lead, you will define, develop, and implement the communication strategy that helps John Deere's users understand, adopt, and get the most out of the platform. You will lead the design, adaptation of assets and global content, production, and rollout of materials (written, visual, and video) that explain how to use the platform, its benefits, and best practices, with a focus on scaling onboarding and adoption/usage beyond what field visits alone can achieve
Key Responsibilities:
Define and own the communication strategy for user onboarding, adoption, and ongoing engagement.Translate platform features, workflows, and use cases into clear, accessible messaging for different user profiles
Plan and prioritize the content roadmap, coordinating with and briefing the team on execution.
Identify which topics, workflows, or adoption gaps should be addressed through scalable content (versus one-on-one field training)
Ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and visual identity across all communication materials.
Work closely with the Field Adoption team to understand recurring user questions and pain points in the field, and turn them into content opportunities
Work closely with JD's communication and marketing teams to stay up to date on new features and platform updates that need to be communicated
Define and track content performance metrics (views, completion rates, engagement, impact on adoption) and iterate based on results
Manage the content calendar, deadlines, and delivery across multiple channels (email, in-app, video, social media, help center, etc.)
Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in communications, content strategy, or marketing, ideally in SaaS, agtech, or tech companies.
Proven experience leading or coordinating content production (writing, design, and/or video).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify technical/product concepts for non-technical audiences.
Experience planning and prioritizing a content roadmap based on business objectives.
Advanced English proficiency (required)
Advanced Spanish proficiency (is a plus)
Nice-to-have
Experience in communications for agriculture, agtech, or precision farming.
Familiarity with onboarding/adoption strategies for digital products.
Experience leading a small creative team.
